If you are wondering what is going on in the last panel, you’ll need to go back a couple of weeks to Rip, Fump and Blop. If Poo is lucky, there are some sprinkles in that ice cream to give our plucky platypus some traction. Then again, I know how this is going to end… and there are NO sprinkles.

The battle rages on, I see. Don’t worry folks… the ka-boom is on its way.

It has been a crazed and panicked start to 2012, but I think everything is under control at the moment. This week I booked my table and travel to Chicago for C2E2 in April. This will be my first time at the show, so if you are around the city at that time, be sure to stop by and say hello to Desmond and I.

Ah, back to the drawing board! No rest for the weary!

The first comic of 2012! I hope it is not a bomb!

Here is a little DVD extra… I inked this comic using a brush pen. I hate brush pens. Its like all globby and stuff. Don’t worry, the ol’ sable #2 returns next week.

Almost the last comic of 2011! (I will finish and upload next week’s comic before Sunday. Does that count as 2011?) It has been quite an amazing year and thanks everyone for making it so successful! Desmond and I met a ton of great new friends in 2011, and we can’t wait to meet more in the next 365! We’ll see you again in East Lansing for the MSU Comics Forum in early February and at C2E2 in April!

We’ll see if Poo will start out 2012 with a bang. (Did you noticed that 2011 started out with a bomb gag too? Hmm…)

We’re taking a break with a moment a peace (question mark?) in the middle of the chaos.

Desmond and I wish everyone happy holidays and a very happy new year. We are thankful for all the new friends we have met, and we’re looking forward to meeting even more cool people in 2012! This week, may your days be merry and bright!

As you’ll hear me say several times to anyone who wants to be an artist… DRAW ALL THE TIME! I need to practice what a preach. I had not picked up a pencil since the last Desmond comic… one in which I was very pleased. Seven days, a lot of Thanksgiving and some home improvements later, I try to draw this week’s comic… with with nothing but frustration. What you are seeing now is the third revision of this week’s comic, and honestly I am still not satisfied with how the action turned out. It works for what it is, but when I reprint this in a collection, you might notice it will be different. So the lesson learned is… DRAW ALL THE TIME! If you don’t stay in practice, you may forget how!
