Vanilla

In a strange way, Trish makes a good a point. I was always fascinated by that concept. Whether the public loves you or hates you, they’re still talking about you. As long as you are on this tips of everyone’s tongue, you still hold some form of marketability, good or bad.

  1. A hero is only as good as his villains…am I right?

With friends like that who needs agents?

Some of the best writing I’ve seen in this or any other comic I follow, Joe! Very engaging and dramatic without compromising the humorous nature of Desmond. And as ever, great artwork. I always love Demond’s expressions, and the nuances of Trish’s expressions are great, too!

Checkerman: Very true. Desmond just found his Joker. You’ll see just how symbiotic this relation will get.

Baughbe: I could use a few friends like this… or agents.

Jay: Thanks brotha! This week’s comic took me a very long time to script. It was hard to contain everything in just six panels. It took a while, but I am satisfied that this fully sets up Trish’s role in Desmond’s life.

There has been a long buildup for many of these next few comics that I will be posting. As I have said before, I am starting to wrap up a lot of long term story lines. I am very excited for the next set of revelations.

Thanks for the kind words, Jay… and thanks for the kind words from everyone. These comments really keep me going.

I guess that would make the old saying:
Any news is, in it’s own way, good news.
I love the shading, it creates the whole picture very nicely. A lot of background detail would have swallowed this up.
Have fun and keep up the great work.

    but…I like vanilla…

MOUSEANDERSON: Thanks! Backgrounds are a tricky tightrope. I always believe that environments are a necessity in at least one panel of a comic to establish the surroundings. However, in the case of the last few months, I wanted to focus and the pace of the comic to revolve around the action. A nice solid light or dark background really created a strong focal point for the action.

    JHSpencer: Ha Ha! Who doesn’t?

  8. avatar Baughbe says:

I still like DB the best. I think its how she is both in your face and mysterious at the same time.

  9. avatar joefoo says:

Oh Baughbe, you’re just a bunny lover.
