This melee started way back on September 13th of 2011 with the comic BUTTERSCOTCH. Twenty-one weeks later, we see exactly why Devil Bunny attacked Trish. We just have to find out who the heck Britt is. (Don’t think about this too hard. I already have this side story roughly outlined but we won’t be walking down that memory lane anytime soon.)
Believe it or not, this gag was planned way back when I first finalized Trish’s look. I changed Trish’s appearance constantly in the first few comics she was featured in (as you may have noticed). The closer I got to a character design I liked, the more she started looking like Devil Bunny. Instead ofgoing back to the drawing board, I thought that the sibling idea would be a fun swerve and fruitful concept to work with. The rest, as they say, is this week’s comic.
You’ll notice a little foreshadowing to the sibling revelation in September’s comic WHICH ONE. Kyle makes the comment that he cannot tell D-Bunn and Trish apart. (This gag was inspired by a joke from the movie The Great Muppet Caper. Ha! Classic!)
The other side of this week’s comic features Kaz finally getting his answer. Since the comic ONE HOT GAME, he has been searching for the group of people who has been sabotaging the release of Snap-Grabbem II. Kaz has travelled up to Seattle trying to follow a lead only to get redirected back to someone he thought he trusted. As you can see, Kaz is a little ticked off having been blown up by robots, attacked by turtles, and sat on by chubby Brazilian fighter. His next stop will not be a false finish, and you will finally get to see the object of his rage.
I am excited because this overall story arch is starting to come to an end. The gang will be facing some pretty interesting things when the dust all settles. I have tons of ideas for the next round or story arcs. Thanks to everyone for sticking with us this far, and I hope you’ll stick around for some fun in the very near future. Finally, a little light on the mystery!
Oh, and Happy Valentines Day everybody!
WATT?
Great foreshadowing (and great, well, SHADOWING) of the characters! This has kind of a Sin City/80′s/90′s Stephen DeStefano kinda vibe that I love. And excellent subtle use of the Muppet Caper “twins” gag!
i can see the resemblance…
Happy belated valentines day and Arizona Centennial day.
Really can see the resemblance when there sitting together. Be afraid to see the family reunion though.
