On a “illustrator’s side note”, I debated whether or not to have the panel crop Desmond’s hands. If I cropped them, it would have helped me obtain the illusion of depth. However, by not cropping them, I think I reinforced the fury within Desmond, which I thought was more important than aiding the visual. I thought that Jerry’s comment would have sold the final frame.
Another “illustrator’s side note”, I am really happy with Desmond’s expression. Thankfully I decided to push it a little further. I will be uploading the conceptual sketches onto FB later this week. The initial design for Desmond was angry, but not as furious as this final version. A little lesson for you kiddies, planning ahead gives you the opportunity to make important changes!
What the heck is this? DVD commentary? I better save this info for a book or something!
