To celebrate the season, I present to you a special double-sized comic for Thanksgiving week! As Desmond says, this is one of the best holidays of the year. It gives you a chance to sit back and reflect on everything that has been good. I share Desmond’s sentiments. A celebration of delicious food is always welcomed. The Lions are probably going to lose again this year, but it is still fun to watch. And of course, the family and friends who stop by and visit make this a very fun time of year.

Another important item to note, this Thursday was the birth date of Charles Schulz. He was born on November 26th 1922. I recall in grade school I would constantly go to the library to check out any and all “Peanuts” books available.  They would be little 4″ x 7″ hard cover books, and each page would  present a daily strip in a vertical manner.  These were all early strips, probably from the 60′s (back when Happiness Is A Warm Puppy was published). I would study these books during lunch periods and during free reading hours. I was so enthralled by these strips that I could not stop looking at them. No matter how many times I checked these books out and how many times a read through the yellowed and torn pages, I just could not put them down.

The Peanuts have always been a huge source of inspiration in my early life. If it were not for Charles Schulz, I don’t know if I would have become an artist. So on this week, Charles Schulz, where ever you may be, Desmond and I tip our hats and raise our pints to you! Thank you for everything.
